Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons minced fresh rosemary, thyme
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh thyme
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 -1 Tablespoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • 2-4 tablespoons canola or any cooking oil (adjust to desired consistency)
  • 2 boneless strip steaks , 1 inch thick (about 3/4 -1 pound each)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a food processor or using a mortar and pestle, blend rosemary, thyme, garlic, paprika, cayenne ,soy sauce. and oil
  • Marinate the steak with the herb mixture for at 30 minutes or or more . You may refrigerate until ready to cook. Let it rest for 20 minutes before cooking. Remove as much marinade from the steak as possible .
  • Heat up a cast iron or grill pan until hot. Cook steak, flipping once, until browned and cooked to desired doneness or grill the steaks on high heat for about 7- 10 minutes on each side for medium or when an internal temperature reads 135 degrees F
  • When the steaks are done to your liking, take them off the grill and let them rest for about 10 minutes.
