Blue Cheese Dressing - a creamy smooth and chunky dressing made primarily with crumbled blue cheese, mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream and a dash of hot sauce and chives. Better than most store-bought ones. It's the tastiest blue cheese dressing you'll ever have in your life!
In a medium bowl combine mayonnaise, half of the blue cheese, sour cream or yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, salt, sugar, vinegar, black pepper, chives, hot sauce, Worcestershire and onion; either whisk with a fork or blend using a blender or mixer.
Whisk or blend thoroughly until smooth.
Stir in remaining blue cheese.
Pour in buttermilk, a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Refrigerate for about 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Can last for about 2 weeks in the refrigerator when sealed in an airtight container.
If using for a blue chip dip you can make it a little thicker and a little thinner for salad dressing.
You can use a blender to mix up the ingredients for the dressing.
