3 large ripe avocados 2-3 tbsp fresh lime juice, about 1 lime 1 -1 ½ tsp fresh garlic, (about 1-2 cloves ), minced about 1 tbsp serrano pepper, seeded and diced ½ tsp cumin 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped (adjust to taste with more or less) salt and pepper to taste ⅓ cup tomato, diced ⅓ cup red onion, diced
Scoop avocado into a bowl, then mash with a fork until you have a smooth and chunky texture, add lime.
Next add garlic, serrano pepper, cumin, cilantro, salt and pepper to taste.
Stir in diced onion and tomato. Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to use. Adjust taste with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with tortilla chips.
