Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe avocados 
  • 2-3 tbsp fresh lime juice, about 1 lime
  • 1 -1 ½ tsp fresh garlic,   (about 1-2 cloves ), minced
  • about 1 tbsp serrano pepper, seeded and diced
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped (adjust to taste with more or less)
  • salt and pepper to taste 
  • cup tomato, diced 
  • cup red onion, diced 

Instructions

  • Scoop avocado into a bowl, then mash with a fork until you have a smooth and chunky texture, add lime. 
  • Next add garlic, serrano pepper, cumin, cilantro, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir in diced onion and tomato. Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to use. Adjust taste with salt and pepper to taste.
  •  Serve with tortilla chips.
