Ingredients

  • 1 recipe pizza dough
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ cup (59ml) milk
  • ½ teaspoon (6g) salt, or more to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon (.58g) pepper, more to taste
  • 1 pound (454g) pork sausage
  • ½ medium red onion, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon (28.4g) butter
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Green onion, for garnish (optional)
  • Hot sauce, (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉.
  • Press pizza dough onto the bottom of a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pre-bake for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper; set aside.
  • In a large skillet set over medium heat, cook the sausage, onion, and green pepper until the sausage is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant. Remove from heat and drain.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add egg mixture, cook and stir until almost set.
  • Spread cooked eggs evenly over the crust.
  • Top with the sausage mixture.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Top with a layer of mushrooms.
  • Top with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until the crust is fully baked and the cheese is melted.
  • Cut into squares and serve garnished with green onion and hot sauce, if desired.

Notes

  1. Wrap the leftovers in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to two days. To reheat, unwrap the breakfast pizzas and place them on a baking sheet, heat in the oven at 200ºF for ten to twelve minutes.
