Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) imitation crab meat
  • ¼ cup (40g) onion, diced
  • 1-2 green onion diced
  • ½ cup (50g) celery, diced
  • ⅓-½ cup (75-115g) mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) Dijon mustard
  • ½-1 teaspoon (2-5g) Creole seasoning
  • ½ lemon
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon (1-2g) dill

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the crab, onions, green onions, and celery.
  • In a smaller bowl, mix the mayonnaise, mustard, Creole seasoning, and lemon juice. Chill until ready to use.
  • Next, add the mayonnaise mixture to the bowl of the crab mixture and mix until thoroughly combined—season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with dill and serve on a baguette with lettuce and avocados or with crackers. The choice is yours.

Notes

  • Refrigerate an hour before serving because this tastes best chilled.
  • Add more mayonnaise for a creamier salad texture.
  • Keep the dressing and salad ingredients separate until just before serving for a fresh, crunchy bite to your salad.
