Baked Shrimp - juicy, delicious shrimp dinner with a delightful crunch that comes ready from start to finish in just 25 minutes. Savory, garlicky, lemony, buttery and a bit spicy - all of these wonderful flavors you'll get in just a pan!
1teaspoon (4 g) salt free creole seasoning , (sub Italian seasoning)
2tablespoons (30 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
2pounds(907 g) extra large or jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails on or off
salt to taste
2-3tablespoon s(8-12 g) fresh chopped parsley leaves. to serve
lemon wedges , to serve
Shrimp Topping
⅓cup (17 g) Panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons (10 g) grated parmesan cheese
1-2tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Microwave butter, chicken stock, garlic and creole seasoning for about 30 seconds or until butter is melted, followed by lemon juice. Alternately, add ingredients in a small skillet, cook over medium high heat for about 30 seconds or until butter has melted and fragrant, add lemon juice. Set aside .
Add shrimp in a large bowl and lightly season shrimp with salt and pepper. Pour in the butter mixture and thoroughly mix.
Place shrimp in a single layer in a 9 x 13, shallow baking dish or 12 inch cast iron.
If desired, combine breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese and melted butter, evenly spread on shrimp for extra tasty topping.
Transfer dish to oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp is cooked through.
Increase the oven setting to broil, then broil the shrimp for about 1-2 minutes or until the crumbs turn slightly brown.
Remove, then garnish with lemon and sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately.
