  • Mixing bowl or plate

  • ¾ -1 teaspoon (3.75g-5g) salt 
  • 1 ½ teaspoon (3g) black pepper 
  • teaspoon sage spice  
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) minced garlic 
  • 1 teaspoon (0.80g) fresh thyme or ½ teaspoon dried thyme 
  • ¼ teaspoon (0.5g) cayenne pepper 
  • 1 pound  (453.59g) ground turkey 
  • ½ -1 tablespoon (9g-18g) honey 


  • Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl or plate.  
  • Place ground turkey in a large bowl, then add the blend of spices to the bowl of ground turkey.  
  • Mix well with your hands, then add honey and continue until fully combine. Shape into patties, about 8 patties.
  •  Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour or preferably overnight for the patty to absorb all the flavors of the spice. 
  • Heat oil or butter in a large skillet or cast iron, then add patties. Fry for about 4 minutes per side or until no longer pink in the middle. Do not overcook the patty. 
  • Place patties on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. 


  1. You can make a big batch and freeze. Wrap each patty in plastic wrap; then place in a zip lock bag or resealable freezer bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.
