  • 1 ¾ cups (218.75g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5g) salt
  • 8 ounces (226.8g) unsalted butter , room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons (8.4g) vanilla extract

Pecan Pie Bar Filling

  • 4 large eggs
  • cup (132g) firmly packed brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
  • 2 teaspoons (8.4g) vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cup (510g) corn syrup
  • 1 ½ cups (163.5g) coarsely chopped pecans

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line the bottom of a 9x13 baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Use enough parchment paper so extra runs off the side of the pan. This will help you take them out easier once they are done cooking.
  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Pat the dough into the entire bottom of the lined baking pan. Make sure the dough is evenly distributed. A spatula helps.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together, eggs, packed brown sugar, flour, salt, vanilla extract, and corn syrup until combined. Then fold in chopped pecans.
  • Pour pecan mixture into the crust.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, then add the decorative pecan halves, if desired. Put it back in the oven and bake again for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and a knife inserted 1-inch from the edge comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool completely- about an hour or more before slicing and serving.
  • Serve as is or top with ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce for an indulgent treat.
