Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons (9.5g) garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons (14g) onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon (7g) ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (7g) paprika
  • 2 teaspoons (1.4g) dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons (2g) dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons (4g) celery seeds
  • 1 tablespoon (17g) salt, optional

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients – garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, thyme, oregano, celery seeds, and salt in a bowl or jar. Stir or shake the jar until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  • Store it in any sealed container (or zip lock bag) and use it as needed. It is excellent for all types of meat and seafood.

Notes

  • Pulse everything in a food processor or blender if you want your homemade all-purpose seasoning with a fine texture.
  • Transfer your Homemade All-Purpose Seasoning into an empty salt shaker for easier use. Don't forget to add some uncooked rice so that it won't harden.
  • Store the seasoning in a dry and cool place to avoid accumulating moisture.
  • You can also add cornstarch to the mix to prevent the herbs from clumping. Adding food-grade silica gel packets also work.
  • Please keep in mind that the nutritional information is a rough estimate and can vary significantly based on the products used in the recipe.
