Munch on these amazing jerk-spiced baked turkey wings with an incredible spicy honey garlic sauce. Perfectly baked to golden, crispy, and tender, they're economical and super easy. Ideal for date night and a hassle-free Thanksgiving turkey dish suitable for small families!
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 400°F (200℃).
If time permits, let the wings dry uncovered in the fridge for 2-3 hours. If short on time, dry wings with a paper towel or kitchen towel, then proceed with the next step.
Place them in a large bowl with the jerk spices, black pepper, and a drizzle of oil (optional, but it does help the spices stick better) and toss to coat.
Line a baking sheet with foil, and top it with a wire rack so the fat can drip into the bottom. Arrange the wings in a single layer.
Bake them until cooked through and the skin is crispy (45-50 minutes). Flip the wings halfway through—roughly at the 25-minute mark.
Remove them from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, and serve with the sauce.
Spicy Honey Garlic Sauce
Melt the butter in a small to medium skillet, then add the garlic and chopped green onions and sauté for a minute or two.
Add the ketchup, honey, brown sugar, lemon juice, hot sauce, and soy sauce, and simmer for about 2 minutes.
In a separate small bowl, thoroughly mix the cornstarch with the pineapple juice or water.
Stir in the cornstarch slurry into the saucepan, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes for a thick, sticky sauce. Adjust seasonings to taste.
Let it cool slightly, drizzle it over your baked turkey wings, and have a blast.
Notes
To ensure crispiness, make sure that the wings are dry and the oven is preheated before roasting.
Skip the hot sauce to make it a kid-friendly dish.
